BiH Law on Citizenship

BiH Law on Citizenship determines the conditions for the acquisition and loss of citizenship of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The citizenship Laws of the Entities must be in accordance with the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina and this Law.

Citizenship of BiH is acquired in accordance with the provisions of this Law:

a) by descent,

b) by birth on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina,

c) by adoption,

d) by naturalization,

e) by international agreement.

Citizenship of BiH ceases:

a) by renunciation,

b) by release,

c) by withdrawal,

d) by international agreement.
